If Canada do the following, why can’t Canada act on Sri Lanka?
“Canada led the world in withdrawing funding of the Hamas government in February of 2006, saying that while the people of the Palestinian territories were free to elect Hamas, Canada would not financially support a government determined to destroy Israel. Other nations soon followed. Recently, the Harper government led the world again in withdrawing Canada from the Durban II conference, a United Nations event ostensibly about fighting racism that instead was about spreading hatred of one people and one state, the Jews and Israel.”
“In 1986, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney led the Commonwealth, or at least the majority of countries in the organization, to adopt sanctions against South Africa in response to apartheid; he did so despite heavy opposition from British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.”
